What in the World of Warcraft is that? Simply put, it’s our seal of approval that No High Fructose Corn Syrup was used in the making of Stoked Energy. We've chosed to go withe better ingredients for you. Boo ya!

What is HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup)?

HFCS is regular corn syrup that has been treated with an enzyme that converts glucose into fructose (which is sweeter). HFCS is very cheep and is often used to sweeten soft drinks, juices, baked goods and other foods.

Why does Stoked not contain HFCS?

Some experts believe that the higher proportion of fructose to glucose can harm the body as it is easier for fructose to be made into fat than for glucose to be made into fat. Also, there is a relatively strong literature showing negative consequences of fructose compared to glucose with respect to raising fatty substances in the blood. It has also been suggested that the rise in obesity in the United States is related to the rise in HFCS consumption.

What is Stoked sweetened with?

Stoked is sweetened with natural sugar such as cane sugar or beet sugar. This is more expensive but better for you than HFCS.
